Retirement Marks New Beginning
A new year often marks the beginning of a fresh start – for Juanita Gay, a teller at South Georgia Banking Company – this will be especially true in 2013. After almost 27 years as a teller in Moultrie, 12.5 of those years most recently at SGBC, Juanita retired on Friday, December 28.
“I love my job,” said Juanita. “I will truly miss my co-workers and the customers I work with every day.”
South Georgia Banking Company celebrated Juanita’s retirement with a party in her honor from 2 – 4 p.m. at the bank on December 28th. Customers as well as current and former co-workers and friends were inivited to send Juanita off in style.
“We will certainly miss having Juanita as part of our team, but wish her well in her new adventures,” said Bob Montgomery, City President, South Georgia Banking Company in Moultrie.
When asked about what she looks forward to doing during retirement, Juanita said she looks forward to her and her husband being able to travel to Warner Robins more often to visit their son. “And,” she said, “ I love crafts, so I’m looking forward to being able to dabble in my projects more often!”[back to list]
