South Georgia Banking Company Welcomes Lonnie McKinney

Lonnie McKinneySouth Georgia Banking Company announces the addition of Lonnie McKinney as Business Development Banker in the bank’s Cordele location.

“With extensive banking and farming experience, Lonnie is an outstanding addition to our banking team,” said Glenn Willis, president of South Georgia Banking Company.  “We know our customers will benefit from his expertise in both financial services and agriculture.”

In addition to previous banking experience where he specialized in SBA and FSA lending programs, Lonnie was awarded the Georgia U.S. Small Business “Financial   Services Advocate of the Year” award and the One Georgia Authority Entrepreneur Small Business Award.

“I understand small business and agri-business first hand,” said Lonnie. “ I am looking forward to utilizing both skills to helping farmers and agri-businesses in my role at South Georgia Banking Company.  I am pleased to be part of this exceptional team!”

Lonnie’s commitment to community involvement is extensive and includes past president of Cordele Kiwanis, a Leadership Crisp graduate, vice-chairman of deacons at Ebenezer Baptist Church and a Crisp County 4-H volunteer, among other activities. His wife Sandra is a retired University of Georgia County Extension Coordinator and 4-H/Family Consumer Science Agent.  Lonnie and Sandra have three adult sons, Lyle, Stuart and Zack.
