Dr. Joe Turner and Chris Cutts Receive Awards

South Georgia Banking Company is proud to be an active member of the Tifton / Tift County Chamber of Commerce.  We are even more proud to have such valuable community members on our team who were recently recognized by the Chamber for their outstanding achievements.  

Pictured are Dr. Joe Turner and Chris Cutts.  Dr. Turner, Board Member at South Georgia Banking Company, was recently awarded the Stafford Award for his substantial contributions in local economic development.  Cutts, a lender at South Georgia Banking Company, was awarded the Lamar Branch award which is given annually to a rookie Chamber of Commerce member who best exhibits Mr. Branch’s outstanding style of leadership.

 

SGBC Congratulates the TCHS Swim Team


    On Saturday, November 14th, the Tift County High School swim team competed with 10 other teams in the Tift Invitational. Approximately 230 swimmers participated, and Tift County placed 7th overall with some swimmers placing in the top 10, including Mallory Moore, daughter of Melinda Moore, SGBC's Senior Vice President.

Hunter Honeycutt: 3rd in mens 200 IM and 2nd in the mens 500 yard freestyle

Michasia Harris: 11th in womens 50 yard freestyle and 8th in the wonens 500 yard freestyle
Kelcie McLean: 12th in womens 100 yard butterfly
Maggie Hobson: 16th in womens 100 yard freestyle
Anna Johnson: 7th in womens 500 yard freestyle
Mallory Moore: 16th in the womens 100 yard breaststroke
