MTC Turner County Graduate Gets Surprise from Grandson
Moultrie Technical College Turner County Campus early childhood care and education graduate Mary Hunt, pictured second from left, received a special surprise when she walked across the stage at MTC’s Commencement ceremony on Friday, June 18, in Moultrie. Hunt’s grandson, Turner County High School student DeMarcus Bateman, second from the right, presented her with her diploma. Bateman is currently job shadowing with Moultrie Tech board of directors member Brinson Brock, far right, at South Georgia Bank in Ashburn and attended three MTC events during the graduation week with Brock as his mentor. Hunt was among hundreds of her fellow MTC graduates Friday night at Withers Auditorium, as the college recognized over 300 allied health, business and computers, personal and public service, and technical and industrial program graduates from its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth. Also pictured is MTC President Tina Anderson, far left.
